Do not hesitate to use Chef Jekyll for your next event! His food was absolutely TO DIE FOR. 6 months later, our family and friends are still talking about his food (especially the crab cakes!) Him and his team were so energetic and nice, and just an all around pleasure to have at our wedding. He even got out on the dance floor with us before he left for the night! 100% our favorite wedding vendor. Thank you, Chef Jekyll!

Our experience with Chef Jekyll’s team was a good effort and warmly hosted, but underwhelming.

Our coordination with Chef Jekyll was straightforward and we set & confirmed the final menu. He told us that although he would not be available to cook for us, he said his team who had ‘executed his style for years’ was available, and confirmed they met the standard of his cooking and reviews.

We expressed that our party needed bold flavors, but either due to the menu items we selected being more savory or lighter, and in part due to poor execution, our food wasn’t flavorful in our opinion.

There were also items from the selected menu that weren’t executed as described, and it was stated that it was an oversight by the team that served us that night, since they did so in Chef Jekyll’s absence.

All in all, this review reflects on a substitute team that replaced Chef Jekyll. And although it does not speak to Chef Jekyll’s personal performance, we followed the reviews. This experience did leave us lacking. We did expect the substitute to execute in Jekyll's style and level of detail, and that was not the case.

We recently celebrated a big birthday for my husband at the beach that lasted almost 3 weeks with family and friends coming and going. The first group consisted of 12 people, the second group, 18 people. Chef Jekyll cooked at our home as many days as he had available and it was all fantastic. He and his staff were on time every time and were professional and easy to be around. Most importantly, the food was excellent and beautifully presented. I would certainly hire him again and would recommend booking him early as he is very popular!

Chef Jekyll and his staff were amazing!! Chef was excellent to work with on the planning side and developing options for our Vegan guests. Dinner was absolutely delicious, and all guests raved about their meal. Chef and his staff were personable, and made the evening fun.

I highly recommend his services, as you WILL NOT be disappointed. We will definitely be repeat customers when we return!

Chef Carey and his wife were outstanding. My husband hired them for my 65th birthday dinner with my family. They were on time, came prepared, and cooked EVERYTHING from scratch right in the condo kitchen. Even the key lime pie was made on site and was delicious. The apps were exceptional. Best crab cake ever. The tenderloin filet and sea bass were amazing and we all agreed it was the best we had ever had. They are personable and willing to interact as we watched them prepare the meal. This was a memorable evening! We would definitely hire again.

Chef Jekyll hooked us up for our wedding weekend. He catered a seafood boil, multi course feast AND a mother’s day brunch. All the food was exceptional!

We’re big food lovers and were a bit nervous - but dang!! Chef delivered! He was a lot of fun to have around too.

We got a little attitude towards the end - we were kind of a pain, having our dinner down by the water which was a flight of stairs and a bit of a walk from the kitchen. We had a towing incident as well. With great talent, comes a bit of bravado.

All in all, great experience. Amazing food. Would hire him again.

For reference 15% tip or more is expected. We had a hard time finding a reference point, so to save you the awkwardness.
